The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) announces the appointment of Rev. Ashley Horan as the Organizing Strategy Director. The Organizing Director is called to strengthen the resilience of Unitarian Universalists, to organize for justice, and express our faith through action.

Funds for MidAmerica Congregations
01 August 2019
Did you know that there are a variety of funds available for MidAmerica congregations to help with anything from new buildings and new staff to social justice initiatives and establishing new congregations?
The largest grants come from the MidAmerica Chalice Lighters. Beginning this year, we’ll be awarding a single grant of over $10,000 to one congregation for each of the three Chalice Lighter calls: Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Going Deeper in Youth and Young Adult Ministry

We are in a time of great change and abundance in Unitarian Universalist youth and young adult ministry. Our transformative Midwest Leadership School, for youth, young adults, and adults, went through a significant change this year with engaging multigenerational group spiritual practices, focusing on worship as THE spiritual practice. We created mandalas, engaged in community singing, and deepened relationships.
